But only if you also add /taser, /kickballs, /pepperspray and /castrate so female players can have a rebuttle to the hordes of e-molesters that this will spark.

As long as they wouldn't be intrusive on other people, i.e. the ... wants a hug.
If Fiery was suggesting a '.... gives .... a hug' emote then I'd like to suggest that they also add /humpleg, it'll save time.

what about a personalized emote for each class that is interactive with a selected person....
something like taunt....but only usable in towns & outposts....for example pourposes & lack of a better word i will use /taunt in my example:-
a female elementalist could type /taunt & she would then blow a kiss that would set the targeted player on fire for 1 second....sort of like sonya from mortal kombat but without the fatality
or a mesmer could make a bit of a stance, wave thier index finger side 2 side & half of selected persons energy dissapears LOL.....but again only usable in towns & outposts
....i dunno what it would do for lag, but /rank emotes dont effect us so perhaps this wouldnt either......

Right on, Fiery.
While we're at it:
/Bagpipes <--Emote like flute, or violin
/cackle <--throws head back, cackles with insane glee! Muhahahaa
/Scheme <--Rubs hands together, looks around maliciously
/hug is needed. Paper rock scissors with rock doesn't look like a hug enough!
/meditate <--Character sits crosslegged on the ground and looks to meditate
I've got a lot more, but eh..

There too many immature punks running around as it is. I'd rather every single emote was removed completely so people can get on with playing the game and not dance partying or stripping for tips.
|
immature punks makes the world go round.. emotes keeps the economy happy..imagine a world without emotes.. no dancing after winning HoH....no taunting to those waiting outside your Guild Hall...people dance and strip cause what can we do?? nothing so we make emotes to lighten the situation.. we not making emotes to add on to the stripping.. yet emotes that we can actually use not to abuse the emotes to. have fun with the game. and for all we know.. A.net already read my mind and gave us new emotes..anything is possible and we will see Jan 20-22.
